A rare “Casino” flower table designed by Gunnar Myrstrand and Sven Engström, produced by Bra Bohag, Sweden, during the 1960s. The table is purpose-built for displaying plants, reflecting the Scandinavian mid-century interest in combining furniture with nature and interior greenery. Crafted in teak veneer with solid wood details, the design features a rectangular top with a detachable brass planter section. Beneath, a slender underframe with tapering legs emphasises lightness and elegance while providing sturdy support. Stamped.

Myrstrand and Engström were prominent Swedish architects and designers who collaborated on numerous modernist furniture designs during the mid-20th century. With the Casino table, they merged functionality, organic materiality, and modernist aesthetics, creating a versatile furnishing that brought nature into the living space. Today, these tables are highly collectible examples of Swedish modern design, valued for both their utility and their sculptural quality.
