The Model 1669 is celebrated for combining sculptural elegance with everyday comfort. Its gentle curvature, choice of natural materials, and craft-driven upholstery make it emblematic of Danish modernism’s functional beauty. It was designed around 1938–1940s by Fritz Hansen and later produced under license by FDB (Fritz Hansen Design) in the 1950s, it appears in the 1942 Fritz Hansen sales catalogue and is documented in vintage exhibitions. This model has a frame constructed of beech stained walnut, upholstered in wool bouclé fabric. It has been renovated and reupholstered.
