A finely crafted mid-century modern coffee table produced by France & Daverkosen (later France & Søn), Denmark. The table is constructed in solid teak with a rectangular top showcasing the warm grain and natural tone of the wood. Typical of France & Daverkosen’s production, the piece combines functional simplicity with refined details: slender, tapering legs, precise joinery, and a light, elevated profile. It includes a slatted magazine shelf beneath and comes with original metal maker’s mark badge.
France & Daverkosen, later known as France & Søn, was one of Denmark’s most important mid-century furniture makers, collaborating with designers such as Grete Jalk, Finn Juhl, and Ole Wanscher. Their pieces are admired for their quality craftsmanship, elegant proportions, and timeless Scandinavian modern design.
