“Täppan” is a compact yet expressive tapestry by Märta Måås-Fjetterström. Although designed 1931, some copies were woven after her death (after 1941) by her studio, which continued under Barbro Nilsson and Marianne Richter. As a signed MMF piece, it carries strong provenance and cultural lineage back to her original studio. The piece highlights her signature fusion of folk motifs and modern design, making it a meaningful representative of Sweden’s decorative arts legacy.

Märta Livia Vilhelmina Måås-Fjetterström (1873–1941) was a renowned Swedish textile artist, celebrated for her innovative rugs and tapestries blending Nordic folk traditions with modernism. She studied at Stockholm’s Högre Konstindustriella Skolan (now Konstfack) and worked in several weaving schools, including Lund and Malmö, before establishing her own weaving studio in Båstad in 1919.
