The GFM-87 armchair, designed by Juliusz Kędziorek in the 1960s, is a notable example of Polish mid-century modern design. Manufactured by Gościcińska Fabryka Mebli (GFM), this chair reflects the era’s emphasis on functional aesthetics and quality craftsmanship. Constructed from solid beech wood, the GFM-87 features cigar-shaped legs and robust, precisely crafted armrests, distinguishing it from other designs of the period.
This pair have been latterly painted in black and reupholstered in a plush shearling-like fabric.
