At WERD, every purchase is treated as a special commission. While we hold a small selection of stock, most pieces are sourced, customised, or refurbished specifically for each client. Below is an outline of how our ordering process works:
- Initial Consultation
- Personal Service: Every order is tailored to the client.
- Consultation Meeting: We meet in person to discuss your needs—style, function, and budget.
- Consultation Fee: A nominal fee applies for this bespoke service.
- Proposal & Review
- Options & Suggestions: Based on the consultation, we prepare a proposal with suitable pieces.
- Upholstery & Samples: If a piece requires reupholstering, we will provide material samples and discuss options in detail.
- Placing an Order
- Order Confirmation: Orders are confirmed upon receipt of a 70% prepayment.
- Payment Methods: Bank transfer preferred; PayPal and cash are also accepted.
- Taxes: A 24% VSK will be added to the product price.
- Payment Terms:
- Furniture: Balance due within 5 days, without interest.
- Design Services: Balance due within 10 days, without interest.
- Confirmation Notice: Once payment is received, customers receive email confirmation.
- Delivery & Lead Times
- Stock Items: Typically delivered within 5 working days of order confirmation.
- Special Orders: Standard lead times are 8–16 weeks. As many items are sourced internationally or require bespoke refurbishment, lead times may vary— this will be discussed upfront.
- Refurbishing: Agreed samples will be confirmed in advance. Costs of refurbishment are non-refundable.
- Material Variations: Natural variations in materials (e.g., leather patina, wood grain) are considered part of the character of the piece and are not grounds for return. These details will always be discussed prior to purchase.
- Delivery Options
- Personal Delivery (Preferred): Within the Reykjavik region, we can personally deliver and place the item in your home. Costs depend on item size.
- Carrier Services: For local, national, and international deliveries, we work with trusted logistics partners. Quotes available upon request.
- Pickup: Customers may collect orders directly from our workshop in Moso.
- Notifications: Customers are notified prior to shipment arrival.
- Final Payment: Any remaining balance is due upon delivery.
- Returns & Refunds
- Refunds are only issued for faulty items returned within 14 days of delivery.
- Customers are responsible for the direct costs of returning goods.
- Usage & Associations
